What’s On Radar: Blackberry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY), NIKE, Inc. (NYSE:NKE), GoPro Inc. (NASDAQ:GPRO), and Twitter Inc. (NYSE:TWTR)
Investors remain cautious ahead of presidential elections in U.S. Overnight markets across Asia remained in green. Latest reports suggest that Hillary Clinton is leading though the developments will be keenly watched. Earlier, in a rally President Obama urged voters to vote for Mrs. Clinton.
Partnership with Optiemus Infracom
Blackberry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) has announced partnership with India’s Optiemus Infracom. As part of the deal Optiemus Infracom will offer distribution services to the latter and sell its android based mobiles to enterprises. Blackberry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) had earlier stated that it is a software company. However, it continues to launch new mobiles in the market.
Sentiment remains negative for NIKE, Inc. (NYSE:NKE) as short-interest rises. The company continues to face tough competition from Under Armour Inc (NYSE:UA). Shares of NIKE, Inc. (NYSE:NKE) are down by 21.90% for the year.
GoPro Karma doesn’t help
GoPro Inc. (NASDAQ:GPRO) had lot of expectations when the company launched GoPro Karma. However, the product has disappointed with price on the higher end in comparison to other products in market. Users though like GoPro Inc. (NASDAQ:GPRO) Karma’s ease of use and the ability to control the camera through stabilizer. The stock has seen slew of downgrades recently. The latest one is from Bank of America which downgraded the stock to Underperform with a reduced price target of $10.
Vine is not yet dead
Reports indicate that Twitter Inc. (NYSE:TWTR) may very well save Vine. The company is currently reviewing multiple proposals which it has received from buyers. Twitter Inc. (NYSE:TWTR) had earlier announced that it will shutdown the platform and allow users to download their content. The company did face some backlash from many users and the same proved affective in drawing interest from various quarters.
