Companies realize the importance of their employees, Hence Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL), Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT), and General Mills, Inc. (NYSE:GIS) are among those who are investing heavily on their employees. There are no doubts that such measures yield fruitful results in the long run.
Positive Impact On Employees
Aside from those, mindfulness research appears to have convinced several managers that investing in thoughtfulness, openness, and reflection would have a favorable impact on their employees. Also, such move also reflected on the bottom line of such companies. For instance, Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Google was proud to offer significant benefits apart from the perks. That included a number of mindfulness courses. Since 2007, its ‘Search Inside Yourself,’ the most popular mindfulness program, has several hundreds of alumni. The company believes that it helps education emotional intelligence helping the employees to understand the motivations of their colleagues better.
According to Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Google, their program also helped their employees to manage their stress, as well as, defuse emotions. That apart, their employees have also learned to be more patient, calmer, and able to listen better.

The chain of the retailer has started a network in 2010 known as ‘Meditating Merchants’ at its headquarters. The company provides mindfulness meditation training, which was open to every employee in several locations. If the company is continuing to run the program, it was mainly two reasons. One was the employee’s participation, and the other was the final outcome.
General Mills, Inc. (NYSE:GIS) is one more company offering mindfulness course to its workforce in its headquarters since the year 2006. The company focused its courses on enhancing the creativity, clarity, and focus of its employees. It also provided weekly meditation, as well as, yoga programs. It has also a separate room for meditation in all the building of its campus.
