New Rumor Of 6 Core A10 For Apple Inc. (AAPL)

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and rumors cannot be separated. That is because of the tight secrecy maintained from top to bottom of the hierarchy in the organization. The latest rumor is about the company’s next generation processor since the company has launched its most recent iPhone model and the OS. The company is reportedly planning to come out with its A10 processor in the next edition of the iPhone, i.e. iPhone 7

Unbelievable Speed Machine

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone 6 series, which has an A9 processor, was considered the fastest till now. However, the planned iPhone 7 will have A10 processors to make the device an unbelievably speedier one. If the past is any indication, the company has the habit of launching a fresh series every two years and the next series will become due next year. That also sets the tone for accelerated rumors on next iPhone 7.

However, since iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were launched only recently, it might appear premature to talk about the iPhone 7 or its processors. But the rumor never stops and the A10 processor will have six cores. The next-gen A 10 architecture’s focus will be on multi-threading development. Reports suggest that the new chips would be made at a 10nm or 14nm process.

Competing For Big Order

SAMSUNG ELECT LTD(F) (ADR) (OTCMKTS:SSNLF) and Taiwan Semiconductor Mfg. Co. Ltd.(ADR) (NYSE:TSM) are fighting for grabbing a big order from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). The tech bellwether will likely place the order next year. Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) might also join the fray to grab the order. If they get it, it will be for the first time.

Apple Expert Sheds Doubt on More Cores

However, Apple expert, Ben Bajarin, tweeted that the company might prefer to invest in GPU improvements than tossing in 6 cores. He believes that it was needless. The leaks came from the Chinese Weibo site. In any case, there is a plenty of time for the company to decide as the next iPhone will likely be launched only during the fall season of next year.
