BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) had something to cheer. The company’s smartphones have the longest brand loyalty compared to other smartphone makers. In U.S. people hold on to their Blackberry phones longer compared to Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) which had the shortest replacement cycle. BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is set to announce results on September 25.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) expects flat earnings during current year. The company had a number of changes over last few months which included acquisition of AOL and Change of business model. Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) will also divest its wireline assets to Frontier Communications Corp (NASDAQ:FTR) for $10.54 billion.

Drop in demand for Gilead Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:GILD)’s drug Harvoni has bothered investors in short-term. However, the long term prospects of Gilead Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:GILD) look good considering two of its drugs are in final stages of FDA approval. Also, the companies Hepatitis C medicines will continue to have strong demand.

Ever since the split happened PayPal Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:PYPL) acquired Xoom and is on global expansion spree. The company caters to almost 10 percent of the e-commerce payments market. PayPal Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:PYPL) is available in 200 countries with no of transactions increasing day by day, the company is on a strong footing.

Fitbit Inc (NYSE:FIT) had something to cheer after IDC predicted 163.6 percent surge in Wearable’s shipment. IDC also predicted a CAGR of 22.9 percent till 2019. Fitbit Inc (NYSE:FIT) is expected to face competition from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s Apple Watch. However, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL), and SAMSUNG LTD(F) (ADR) (OTCMKTS:SSNLF) are expected to benefit from growing demand.

Sales of Macy’s, Inc. (NYSE:M) are expected to be impacted by $300 million after the company announced that it will shut down close to 35-40 stores in 2016. However, the positive part is that the company will generate extra free cash flow and lease out some of the real estate space.

Bing and Cortana are going to be key drivers for revenue generation according to Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s CMO Chris Capossela. Something which made Wall Street investors worried as monetization of Bing will be through advertisements, considering the amount of competition which is there in this space it will be a tough nut to crack.
