Google Inc (GOOGL) Is Doing Something Which Will Annoy Apple Inc. (AAPL) To Display Ads

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s recent action has everything to annoy Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). In a recent blog post, the search engine giant has provided instructions to app developers on the methods to disable a big security setting in the forthcoming iOS9 OS so that it can send ads. The tech firm is launching its new OS update to its iPads, as well as iPhones.

Showed It During Developers Conference

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) showed it during its developers conference held more than two months ago. The company has planned an event on September 9 to unveil iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. The tech firm is predicted to announce its upcoming iOS release. The tech firm is releasing its documentation on the forthcoming OS to developers to enable them to develop their apps before its launch.

That included security feature information, known as App Transport Security or ATS, required data to reach iOS 9 gadgets through a secured ‘https’ encryption setting. The setting protects users from hackers as they will not be able to snoop on the user data during the time of crossing the internet. It has also been a normal one for PC web browsers. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has made ATS a default one on its iOS.

Block some ads

As far as Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is concerned, though this is a good thing, it blocks some ads serviced by it. The company indicated that it was committed to the adoption of HTTPS throughout the industry. The search engine firm said that it was in full compliance on third party ad networks, as well as custom creative code served through its systems.

The search engine giant wanted to ensure that its ads continue to be served on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iOS devices. Therefore, it recommended a short-term fix to add an exception so that it enables HTTP requests to succeed. That will allow non-secured content also to load successfully. The search engine giant clarified that it only advocated this method in case they tried some other methods.
