According to the Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s annual trends report, the most-searched brand was Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), followed by Jeep and Dodge in the second and third place respectively. Strangely, Toyota Motor Corp (ADR) (NYSE:TM) was the fourth popular brand in the world. Volkswagen AG (ADR) (OTCMKTS:VLKAY) did not find a place in the top ten at all. As far as General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) is concerned, it was ranked fifth overall, though it did not find a place among the top five in the United States.
The reason for this big difference is that selling millions of cars alone does not make a brand the most popular. What people find interesting and search out is often very different then what they buy. It just means that such automakers meet the requirements of more numbers of customers. Also, more than the types of cars, it also reflected the availability, as well as the affordability. North America Results

That coincides well with the largest-selling brand in North America. The search results also suggest that trends change very frequently.
As far as Mexico, Nissan Motor Co Ltd (ADR) (OTCMKTS:NSANY), as well as Chevrolet from General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) were the big hit. In the United States, Toyota was the clear winner though it was leading in 24 States only.
