It was a disappointing week which saw S&P 500 losing 5.8% while the Nasdaq Composite declined by 6.8%. Friday’s selloff was furious, something which was last seen in 2011. China’s Shanghai had the biggest slide of 11.2% for the week. Upcoming week will largely depend on the steps taken by China’s central bank and whether the markets stabilize there or not?

BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) can play an important role in providing technology to healthcare industry, Companies are reluctant in using latest communication technologies. According to a study conducted by Zillow Group Inc (NASDAQ:Z) suggests that rents are at all time high in US and beyond imagination. The study goes on to say that 30.2% of the income earned is going towards paying rents. Zillow Group Inc (NASDAQ:Z)’s study also says that the situation is worst in California and Los Angeles where a person has to keep aside 50% of his earnings as rent.

According to reports, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is in discussions with Mesosphere. The company intends to buyout cloud infrastructure startup given the potential of cloud. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) thinks that mesos technology fits perfectly in the scheme of things. However, the price of $1 billion looks to be costly considering the company’s poor track record in terms of how it deals with acquisitions.

Livestreaming has picked up pace in recent times with emergence of Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR)’s Periscope and Meerkat. However, Search engine giant Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s YouTube is not sitting back and has made a comeback of sorts. Recently, Match between Bayern Munich and Hamburg was livestreamed on YouTube by Fox sports.

The market for wearables is growing and so is the competition. The question which is arising is whether Fitbit Inc (NYSE:FIT) will be able to compete with the likes of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)? The technology giant with its cash can make all the difference. Also, emergence of new players would also be a cause of concern for Fitbit Inc (NYSE:FIT).

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is looking to make changes to its streaming service which can be a potential threat for Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s ChromeCast and Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s Fire TV.

Investors were disappointed with Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU)’s third quarter numbers. However, an analysis of number suggests that the company is sacrificing its growth now for future success.
