Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) Adds New Add-Ins To Outlook.com Along With Preview
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has updated its Outlook.com by adding fresh features along with a preview. This is a follow up to the big update launched in May current year. The features included collaboration, new Inbox, and calendar. However, that update was available in preview only to a select group of customers. The current update adds a broader audience to the preview.
Enhancements Based On Feedback
Interestingly, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) indicated that the feedback from its initial preview users has helped to make improvements to the service. Aside from this, the latest highlight is in respect of add-ins. The biggest software firm indicated earlier that the third-party add-ins will be coming. The company particularly named Boomerang, Uber, and Paypal Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:PYPL) in its previous announcement.
Currently, it disclosed Yelp Inc (NYSE:YELP), Evernote, IFTTT, and Wunderlist as add-ins list. The add-ins will be available on the web and reaching Outlook.com in the next month. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) appears to be fully geared to address the current, as well as, the future needs.
What The Add-Ins Could Do
For instance, the company said that in Uber, the user could get a ride to a meeting or event with the ride reminder in any calendar event through a single tap. It will allow the user phone to show up since the destination has already been set up. Similarly, Paypal Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:PYPL) enables the user to pay, as well as, send money from inbox directly. The company said that it was simple like sending an email.
In respect of Evernote, the user could share his or her work with colleagues. This is also a simple to use add-in and a clip emails from outlook. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) said that Boomerange allows the user to schedule, as well as, remind in case the user’s mail did not get a response.
