Markets across Asia traded and closed in Green except China’s Shanghai which closed down by 1.65 percent.
Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) patented a technology which can be used in deciding whether to give a loan to an individual or not? The system works based on credit ratings given by your friends, which means that ultimately getting loan would be in the hands of your friends. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) declined to comment on the matter.
Greece continues to see selloff led by Banks. National Bank of Greece (ADR) (NYSE:NBG) which fell by 50 percent over last two trading sessions is finally seeing some rebound as the stock is up by 2.3 percent on Greece exchange. However, Piraeus Bank SA and Alpha Bank AE along with Eurobank Ergasias SA continue to trade down. National Bank of Greece (ADR) (NYSE:NBG) closed down in yesterday’s trading session and was down by 15 percent in Afterhours trading.
Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s VP of Business development Diarmuid O’Connell at car management briefing seminar told audience that the company is misunderstood. He went on to say that competitors and others associate Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) as an Elite car marker. However, he said that the company is committed to cater to mass market through Model 3 in next two years.
Motorola Solutions Inc (NYSE:MSI) received a $1 billion investment from Silver Lake. The company believes that Silver Lake will help it to expand its portfolio which currently consists of only Radio to broader communication platform. Two executives from Silver Lake will join Motorola Solutions Inc (NYSE:MSI).
DISH Network Corp. (NASDAQ:DISH) reported revenue of $3.83 billion compared to $3.69 billion in a year ago period. Net Income also increased sharply to $324 million compared to $213 million last year. However, new Pay-TV subscribers declined by 81,000 compared to 44,000 which it had in the second quarter of 2014.
