In its latest regulatory filing of trades and holding for the second quarter 2015 period, Laurel Grove Capital, LLC disclosed how it reformed its portfolio mix. The fund initiated fresh positions in four stocks during the quarter and sold out of five other stocks in the period. In other moves, Laurel Grove Capital increased stakes in some 28 stocks that it already owned and trimmed holdings in 51 stocks already in its portfolio.

At the end of the reforms, Laurel Grove Capital reported that the value of its equity portfolio appreciated to $187.76 million in the second quarter, from $186.99 million at the end of the first quarter 2015.

Laurel Grove Capital is most active in the Technology sector, which accounts for 17% of its equity portfolio in terms of industries. The other sectors in which the fund has significant exposure are Consumer Discretionary, Industrials and Finance, making 16%, 15% and 15%, respectively, of its portfolio.

Laurel Grove Capital initiated a fresh position of 9,972 shares in Allergan PLC(NYSE:AGN). The stake was valued at more than $3 million at the end of the second quarter.

Laurel Grove Capital takes position of 97,500 shares in VASCO Data Security

VASCO Data Security International, Inc. (NASDAQ:VDSI) is also another stock in which Laurel Grove Capital made a fresh move during the second quarter. The fund acquired 97,500 shares in the company, a position that was valued above $2.9 million at the end of the quarter.

Stake in United Natural Foods (UNFI) valued at $2.88 million

Laurel Grove Capital’s love for United Natural Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ:UNFI) saw the fund initiating a brand new position in the company, taking up 45,250 shares. The stake was worth more than $2.88 million at the end of the second quarter.

Largest sells

In other measures to remake its portfolio mix, Laurel Grove Capital closed out its position in Actavis and lowered stakes in Syntel, Inc. (NASDAQ:SYNT) and American Airlines Group Inc (NASDAQ:AAL) among others.

Largest overall

Overall, Laurel Grove Capital finished the second quarter with its best equity bets being in Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE:BRK.B) and Wabtec. The fund’s stockholding in the top three stocks remained unchanged in the second quarter.
