Why Facebook Inc (FB) Is A Popular Diversion?
New research from the University of California has come out with the reasons why Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is a popular diversion for people, who want to take a break. The study says that even at the quiet moments, brains of people were ready to be connected with other people socially. The brain has a big system, which appeared to predispose to be ready for social mingling during the spare moments.
Professor of bio-behavioral sciences, psychiatry and psychology in California University, Mathew Lieberman, said that the brain is social in nature and biologically based. He disclosed that the findings helped to unmask the two decade old mystery. This should be a big boost for Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB).
Neuroscientists have been indicating the last two decades that the brain included network of regions, which appeared to be very effective during the hours of rest. The researchers were able to find the results apparent during the brain scan as the people were trying to answer tough questions during the scientific experiments. Scientists found that some brain areas were active unusually during the periods of resolution of problem. However, they were not able to find the purpose of the brain’s activity during a break.
Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)’s Mark Zuckerberg might have had different opinion when he launched the social networking site. Its design was not with dorsomedial prefrontal cortex in mind. According to Lieberman, Facebook was very much in line with the way brains were functioning. He pointed out that whenever people wanted to take a break from the regular functioning, the brain of such people comes on the same network that the social networking site’s timeline. Also, it demonstrated what friendship was meant.
The latest study was carried in the Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience. The study found the quiet moments and the preparation of the brain to focus on other people’s mind were said to be reasons for social networking participation. This apart, the people also see the world from a social lens, according to the professor, who was also the senior author in the study.
The professor believes that the people, who were left behind in the social network, could also improve their skill by practice and participating in the social network. Lieberman has been carrying out additional research to find out the behavior pattern of some practices at social thinking to help enhance social abilities of the people.
Another interesting feature of the study was that during the dreams, there was dorsomedial prefrontal cortex that might turn on and rest to process its social experiences. The professor indicated that this would help updating the assumptions, as well as, understanding of the social networking in the world.
The University’s findings said that the people were ready to mingle with others by feelings, thoughts, and goals through the social network. The professor said that it was not the brains, which turn the systems on, but walk through with brain to reset itself to start thinking.
