Facebook Inc (FB) Targets Users On Slower Bandwidth Through Creative Accelerator
Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is focusing on tapping the untapped section of the world, people who are interested in connecting but fail to get connected. This could be either due to the Internet or the slow bandwidth issue. For this, the company has unveiled a program known as ‘Creative Accelerator’ with the objective of helping brands to unlock personal storytelling power in high-growth markets.
The move of Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) would not only lift the number of potential future users, but would also help the company accelerate its pace of growth in generating revenue from the mobile ads. The company’s Creative Accelerator would enable brands to reach users with patchy networks or even with low bandwidth. At the same time, the company is trying to connect the next billion users through Internet.org, which is still under work.
The company’s latest program also enables its Creative Shop to work with seven clients like Nestle Coca Cola, Samsung, and Durex among others. Similarly, it would work with their partners in South Africa, Turkey, Kenya, Indonesia, and India to bring the brands’ stories to life.
Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)’s efforts were significant for its brand also, since it generated nearly 69% of ad revenues from mobile in the fourth quarter of 2014. This was higher than 53% recorded in the preceding year quarter. As many as 526 million monthly active users reportedly accessed the social networking site from their mobile instruments.
Similarly, the company had 449 million monthly active users from Asia-Pacific in the December quarter. Therefore, the Creative Accelerator is launched with a focus on African and Asia-Pacific countries.
Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) indicated that its objective was to develop the best practices for high-growth markets through the creation of campaigns tailor-made to each country’s people and the gadgets that they use. The company indicated that it was looking at different on phone features rather than smartphone features.
