It appears that BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)(TSE:BB) wants to take full advantage of the favorable reviews expressed by many on its latest models, Classic and Passport. The company’s fourth quarter and the fiscal year end in February. Before the period ends, it appears that the company is not leaving any stones unturned to boost its sale of latest models, Passport and Classic.

BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s Passport will become available from AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T)’s network on February 20. Other service providers too committed to promoting BlackBerry’s latest models. Therefore, to back up these efforts, the company is also heading towards Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Xbox Live to advertise its models.

By preparing to advertise in the realm of Microsoft’s Xbox live, the inventor of the smartphone appears to be showing its aggressiveness in marketing its latest models. For quite some time, the company preferred to be on the defensive. Therefore, it is refreshing to see that the company has become a bit aggressive to ensure a good number of sales of its recent models.

In Canada currently, a new ad is running on the consoles of Xbox from BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY), promoting its latest model, Classic. The ad invites users of Xbox Live to download free episodes, Top Gear, and MTV’s Ridiculousness that are sponsored by the smartphone company. The ad features in two spots, which seem to have attracted viewers.

Results Ahead

The latest moves of promoting its recent models are aimed at ensuring solid revenue numbers for the fourth quarter. The company will be releasing its fourth quarter numbers on March 27. It still has ten more days in the current month to finish the quarter. The company probably wants to sign off the quarter on a very high note, taking advantage of the reviews.

However, it remains to be seen as to how far BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) will be able to translate their actions into financial numbers. Since the company earned an adjusted profit of one cent a share in the third quarter, there will be expectations that the company might turn towards profitability in the fourth quarter.
