New FB Android

Since the time Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) revealed the final version of Android 5.0 Lollipop with the Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 phablet, application developers have been trying to blend in their Android apps UI to match the new signature design. Of course Google was the first to change almost all their native apps, and many others have followed.

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) appears to be considering giving its Android app users a faster, cleaner and better experience. According to reports by several Android users, the official Facebook for Android received an update without the need of any sort of update from PlayStore. It seems the changes are being processed within the app itself, but not everyone has received it yet.

The UI is reported to be flatter and feature quicker interactions. While more of a refresh then a material redesign, you will find the menu icons to be circular in shape with different colors. The new design matches any Android Lollipop running device for a fresh new experience. It is unknown whether Facebook will roll out an update via the Google PlayStore, or users can wait for the change to happen on its own. Reports indicate that Facebook is conducting some sort of a random beta test with the new changes.

Facebook will auto-enhance uploaded Images

The design changes aren’t the only thing Facebook is working on. It seems that from now on, all the images in the Facebook apps will be auto-enhanced at will. If you end up uploading a selfie with less light, there is nothing to worry about, Facebook will auto-correct the image brightness for a better picture.
