Microsoft (MSFT) Continues to Surprise as Band Sold Out Online

microsoft band

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)‘s band appears to be doing better then expected. Those looking to buy the popular Microsoft Band may be a bit disappointed, as it is no longer available to be purchased online. Instead, they would have to try their luck at a brick and mortar Microsoft Store. Some of the stores may have a couple of units of the Microsoft Band available for holiday sales. Consumers who were on the waiting list to purchase the product will get a $10 discount code from Microsoft, which can be used on purchases of over $50 online.

The Microsoft Band is a piece of wearable technology that is currently sold in the United States only. While there are many other wearable gadgets on the market today, this one is without a doubt the most popular choice with consumers. One of the reasons behind its popularity is the fact that it supports multiple platforms. The Band is compatible not only with Windows Phone 8.1, but also Android devices running version 4.3 or higher and iOS 7.1 and 8. The Band has interesting features, such as integration with the Cortana personal assistant on Windows Phone, a heart rate monitor, GPS, skin temperature sensor, accelerometer and GPS.

It would seem that Microsoft didn’t expect its latest wearable tech product to be so popular. Consumers who are looking to buy it will need to take a look at the Microsoft Stores in their area to see if they have any in stock at the moment. It is not yet known when new stocks of the Band will become available online.
