Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac: Ackman withdraws injunction in District Court

Freddie Mac Fannie Mae FMCC FNMA

Ackman voluntarily withdrew his injunction in the DC District Court. Followers of the legal saga should know that this has no effect on the Perry Injunction appeal or the Fairholme / Ackman lawsuit that Judge Sweeney is presiding over in the Federal Court of Claims.

This probably isn’t worthy of too much analysis in that it was an acknowledgment that Ackman had no chance in DC’s District Court due to the ruling of  Judge Lamberth in that same court.

The notice was filed as Pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(a)(1)(A)(i) which is  “a notice of dismissal before the opposing party serves either an answer or a motion for summary judgment;”
