Despite a multitude of recent rumors to the contrary, a new report form South Korea indicates that Samsung (SSNLF) not Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) will make the A8 processor rumored to be in the new iPhone 6. Samsung will make the chips at the same facility in Texas that produces the 64 bit A7 chip in the iPhone 5S & iPad Air.

An unnamed source from Samsung told ZDNet Korea that a manufacturing agreement has already been signed and that engineers from both companies are working together to ramp up production for the fall. This would coincide with rumored release of the iPhone 6.
