Will there ever be a New Microsoft CEO?


Kara Swiser at re/code discusses the rumors that a Microsoft CEO selection is imminent and the role that Gates will have in this drawn out process that is making investors anxious at this point. She believes that things will not be decided until after Gates returns from Davos Economic conference in Switzerland, which takes place this week. Gates remains a key decision maker in the process while he hasn’t actively been at Microsoft on a day to day basis since June 27, 2008 even while remaining Chairman. Even Gates’ involvement has drawn nerves from investors of late who are looking for a resolution and remain divided between those that desire insider candidates or others that want more dramatic outsider candidates.
